Gemini Spark is the relevant connector surface
The decisive detail is the product surface. Google documents arbitrary custom MCP URLs for Gemini Spark Connected Apps, not as a blanket capability of every Gemini chat. Eligibility restrictions therefore matter as much as protocol compatibility. Where Spark is available, ClawCall can turn Gemini’s research and planning into one external phone action; where it is absent, the correct answer is to use Gemini CLI or another compatible host rather than inventing a consumer connector. Spark confirmation and Gemini CLI trust differ
Google currently says Spark requires manual confirmation for write actions, so ClawCall’s official Always allow recommendation cannot override that host rule. Gemini CLI is different: its MCP configuration supports a server-level trust flag that bypasses tool confirmations after review. The same ClawCall endpoint can therefore have different approval behavior across two Gemini surfaces.
