Can ChatGPT make phone calls?

What does ClawCall do on a call?
You give ClawCall a US number and a task. It dials, listens to the phone menu and presses the right keys, waits through the hold queue, and talks to whoever answers. If a decision needs you, it calls you first. When the call ends, it reports the outcome and any transcript evidence it captured.

How do developers place a call?
Send one POST /call request with a US number and a task. You get a call_id back right away, then poll GET /call/:id until the lifecycle is finalized and read the outcome and the transcript when present. AI agents can use the same REST API, the hosted MCP server, or the packaged skill.

Does it actually sound human?
It uses a real-time voice model that speaks naturally, handles interruptions, and works through menus and hold music. If anyone asks whether it is AI, the agent says yes.
What won't it do?
It won't agree to anything you did not authorize. If it reaches voicemail, it can leave a message when instructed. If a decision genuinely needs you, it can ask to bring you into the live call.

What happens to my transcripts and recordings?
Every completed call can return the transcript evidence actually captured and a temporary recording link when available. ClawCall deletes transcripts 7 days after a call ends and recordings 10 minutes after a call ends. Requesting the link again cannot renew an expired link or restore a deleted recording.
